Our 2017 District Convention is coming up fast. It is on April 21-22 in Thief River Falls at the Ralph Engelstad Arena. There is some important information I would like to share with you.
Please register for our convention here.
Our Friday Night Banquet.
We have a very exciting and interesting night planned and hope you can attend. Our theme this year is “Immigration, Why I came to America.” We have three immigrants who came to America legally and want to tell us their stories. It is a panel discussion with questions and answers afterward. Our panelists include Klaus Schneegans from Germany, Shigitu Kebede from Ethiopia, and Vladimir Lifson from Russia. Come and listen to their stories and you will be blessed by what you hear.
Lifetime Recognition Awards.
As a board we believe it is time to recognize our activists who have spent many years working for the party in their BPOUs. We will do this at our 7th District convention on Saturday April 22nd. We will give one activist from each person a special award and these are the criteria we have set up.
1 – 15+ years working in your BPOU
2 – Each BPOU will pick one person
3 – 7th District Board members are not eligible, (Officers or Senate District Chairs)
4 – Each BPOU establishes their own criteria for picking their person, i.e. long time as county chair, fundraising director, etc.
Every year we have BPOU leader training for any person who wants to attend. This is particularly important for BPOU chairs but we have other sessions planned about other important topics. The training starts at 3:00 PM on Friday April 21st at the Ralph Engelstad Arena in the Dakota Room. These are the topics and session leaders.
